Documents required when applying for a
Buyer Credit Guarantee
Application for a Buyer Credit Guarantee must usually be made through a bank, which handles the paperwork. As an exporter, however, you may choose to handle some of the paperwork. In that case you must complete the following documents and submit them to your advisor at EKF.
Introduction to the documents
Four documents are relevant when applying for a Buyer Credit Guarantee. Here is a short guide to the documents:
Application for a guarantee – exporter: The exporter must complete this application form in order to be eligible for a Buyer Credit Guarantee.
Guide to "Application for a guarantee – exporter": The guide explains what the exporter must do and when.
EKF's declaration on non-bribery and openness: This document must be completed by the exporter. For certain types of guarantees, it must also be completed by the bank.
Declaration on openness: The counterparty completes the document, i.e. the buyer, the borrower or the guarantor.
